Overnight Chocolate Oats


I love this recipe because I make it the night before and in the morning I just have to reach into the fridge, turn the lid and voila, breakfast is served! A healthy, hearty breakfast to boot!

Overnight Chocolate Oats:

  • 1/4 C instant oats (I use quaker gluten free oats)
  • 2 TBS rasins
  • 1 TBS cocoa
  • 1 TBS plant-based protein powder (optional)
  • 1/2 TSP cinnamon
  • 1/4 TSP vanilla
  • 1 C coconut milk or any milk of choice or water
  • 1/2 banana sliced

Mix all ingredients from oats to vanilla in a jar. Add enough milk to cover and mix again until completely incorporated. Cover the jar with a lid or plastic wrap. Place in fridge. The next morning add more milk if too dry, stir in banana slices and serve. This filling and healthy breakfast has protein, fiber, iron, and vitamins like B and C. Best of all its perfect for a busy morning and it tastes delicious! Matthew always licks his spoon clean.
