Hi. I’m Ann Marie. I am a Wellness Chef, Health Coach, wife, and mom to one sweet little boy named Matthew. For many years I struggled with feeling tired, achy and burned-out. I went to many doctors, took many blood tests but was told the same thing over and over, “everything came back normal and all seems fine.” The problem was I didn’t feel fine. I wasn’t myself and I knew I could feel better. I’ve always been relatively thin and ate pretty well so I wasn’t overly concerned with food. However the more I read, the more I learned how unhealthy the so-called “healthy” foods I was eating actually were. I wanted to know more about how to properly choose, shop for and prepare health supportive foods and in 2012 I enrolled in the Chef’s Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts .

IMG_2232Since graduating culinary school I have been working with vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli testing and developing recipes for her easy to follow, vegan cookbooks and 100% vegan, all natural, restaurant chain, by Chloe. She is such an inspiration to me and has opened my eyes to how delicious and exciting plant-based foods can be. I am so lucky to work side-by-side with Chef Chloe helping to create innovative, healthy and scrumptious vegan dishes. As a result, my family and I have incorporated more whole foods and plants into our daily meals and we’re feeling better than ever.

Watching that transformation made me want to share what I’ve learned with other families and in 2016 I went back to school to become a Certified Family Health Coach.

This page came about as a space to log healthy tips that worked for Matt, Matthew and I as well as tips I was interested in trying or learning more about. Here you’ll find ideas on how to shape young tastes, model healthy behaviors and get your family moving more. I believe a healthy lifestyle should be simple, affordable and fun. It’s never too late to feel great!
